Terms of use
Last updated: 13 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the public Pêl website and the public clinical calculators at /calculators (together, “the Site”). By using the Site you accept them. The Pêl clinic platform used by clinics is provided under a separate written agreement with each clinic — these terms do not grant access to it.
1. Who the calculators are for
The calculators, scores and criteria are intended for licensed healthcare professionals as an aid to their own judgement. They are not intended for patients or consumers, and they are not medical advice. See the medical disclaimer, which is part of these terms.
2. Advisory only — no clinician–patient relationship
Results are advisory decision support. Using the Site does not create a doctor–patient, professional, or fiduciary relationship between you (or any patient) and Pêl. The treating clinician remains solely responsible for all clinical decisions and must independently verify every result against the cited sources before acting on it.
3. No warranty
The Site and its content are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind — including accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Terminology content used in our products (LOINC®, SNOMED CT®, ICD-10-CM) is likewise provided as-is by its respective rights holders.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pêl and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage, or for any clinical outcome, arising from use of the Site. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.
5. Acceptable use & intellectual property
- The Site’s content — the encoded tools, interpretation text, design and software — belongs to Pêl. The underlying clinical publications belong to their authors and publishers and are cited on each tool; no endorsement by them is implied.
- You may use the calculators in your clinical work and share links to them. You may not scrape, bulk-download, copy, redistribute or resell the content, embed it in another product, or use it to train machine-learning models, without our written permission.
- You may not probe, disrupt or attempt to access non-public parts of the service.
6. Third-party terminologies
This material contains content from LOINC (http://loinc.org). LOINC is copyright © Regenstrief Institute, Inc. and the Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) Committee and is available at no cost under the license at http://loinc.org/license. LOINC® is a registered United States trademark of Regenstrief Institute, Inc. SNOMED Clinical Terms® (SNOMED CT®) is used in our clinic products by permission of SNOMED International; “SNOMED” and “SNOMED CT” are registered trademarks of SNOMED International. Diagnosis coding uses ICD-10-CM (U.S. NCHS/CDC, public domain).
7. Changes and termination
We may change the Site, these terms, or withdraw any tool at any time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Republic of Iraq. Any dispute belongs to the competent courts there.
